habe just received a message from T-Zone that
they start shipping an internal modem upgrade card
(to 33.6 kps) in the next couple of days. Price
is 24.800 yen (if I recall correctly, accidentally deleted

Wow, this is great. It was such a pain to use the hard drive on an
extender in order to accommodate a modem that I ended up putting Linux
(including X and Latex) on a 15MB compact flash, freeing up not just
one but two PCMCI slots. With a real internal modem and today's bigger
(32MB?) compactflash cards it's almost like having three PCMCIA slots.
Looking forward to hearing if anyone gets theirs working.
