Forgive me if this is an unpopular question with this distribution, but
has anyone been tracking recent developments in palmtops with advanced
capabilities beyond the PC110? We've gotten a tremendous amount of mileage
out of our PC110 here at SRI and will continue to use it to demonstrate
mobile wireless computing and communications. But, we are starting to run
out of gas with the 33MHz 486 processor, and the fact that "large" non-
volatile storage devices can only be accessed via the PC-CARD slots is
a severely limiting factor for us, since we need to access custom I/O
devices via those slots. Does anyone have any experience with any "next
generation" palmtops which might address these two issues?
