[pc110] Fixing the hinge

Hi Dick,

I tackled this one last week. Having removed the 6 screws on the lid,
gently lift the top edge of the case (top of screen) away from the screen
and slide the top towards the hinge. It's a bit tricky but it does slide off.

The problem with my hinge was that the receptacle for the lid on the right
side had become pushed in slightly allowing the right hinge to move freely.
I fixed this by removing the metal 'hinge' from the lid (lift out the
inverter to remove the metal strip) and pulled out the receptacle from the
main unit with a bent paper clip. Worked for me but it looks like this may
need to be done periodically anyway.

YMMV.

Cheers,

Rex.

Has anyone taken the lid section apart? I'm asking, cos the right hand end
hinge has come loose on mine, and I'd like to put it right. I've taken the
six small screws out from around the edge of the lid, but it still doesnt
want to come apart.

If anyone has done this before, please let me know how you did it? (Or even,
if its possible to fix the hinge without taking the lid off)
