Good news: a regulated 12V 1A power supply I got from Maplin
works perfectly both to run and to charge the PC110.
Although the rated voltage is a bit high, the current limit pulls it
down a bit, and there is no sign of anything overheating.
Bad news: the particular model I got isn't in the latest catalogue.
However, there are several other similar models, such as a variable
voltage (up to 12V), current limited 1.2A version for 11.90UKP.
